I am currently busy in the studio working on finishing some pieces of art for an upcoming exhibition at Barnsley House Hotel in the Cotswolds for Barnsley Village Festival on Saturday 13th May. Barnsley House is STUNNING ... it has 4 acres of beautiful gardens which will be open for the public, as well as the main house. There will be classic cars, various live musicians, other artists, afternoon tea and other activities. Last year 2000 people came so it is quite popular!
I will be exhibiting some brand new original artworks as well as prints and lots of paper mini artworks. My partner Harry is also joining me with his aerial drone photography prints from our recent travels!
To buy tickets for the event you can do so here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/barnsley-village-garden-festival-2023-tickets-472153201937
I hope to see some of you there (and let me know if you are coming!!!)
Much Love
Natalie
]]>On my recent travels to Koh Phangnan in Thailand I felt really aware that nature feels so ALIVE there. Everything is buzzing and vibrant with life ... the sounds of the birds and creatures, the brightly coloured foliage and ocean, the smells of the rich dense rainforest. It had me pondering in my hammock that behind all of the natural world is an energy that is keeping everything alive and connected. I had the idea to paint artwork that is about this energy in nature.
I love pink and green artwork ... the colours just work so well together .... so those will most likely be my primary colour pallet for the series of artworks.
I have REALLY been having a lot of fun painting abstract floral art. I work with big loose, free brushstrokes, splashing paint around and generally following my intuition.
What else I am pondering ...
If you know me personally or have followed me for a while you will know I am passionate about living the F**K out of life. I have this strong desire to live well and live my biggest dreams. My dreams for the future are to travel with my baby (that is currently in my belly!), my amazing partner Harry and both of our artforms (he is a videographer and drone pilot).
I am sure lots of people think we are slightly mad for wanting to live in different countries with a baby ... but luckily for me I have never suffered from making life decisions based on what others opinions are! We are ALL different and I embrace that! One of my best friends in the world couldn't think of anything worse than travelling with a baby ... but we love and support each others dreams so thats what matters to me!
I am excited for us to travel to more tropical locations next year. In the meantime we are here in the UK right now and planning on making the most of it. We are planning on getting a bigger camper van for longer extended trips. And of course we are looking forward to welcoming our little girl into the world at the end of August.
My New Studio
Now I am back in the UK I am making the most of having the space to paint bigger artworks again. Harry is the best boyfriend in the world, so has been making my art studio much more useable. PLEASE NOTE IT IS STILL A MESS!! Next step I will paint it all white and put some flooring down so I have a nice "black canvas" room to paint in! I love that my surfboard, kiteboard (and soon my wakeboard) are hanging on the back wall!
Ok thats all for now, if you would like to keep up to date with my new creations and what I am up to in the studio just sign up to my newsletter below!
Much Love

I am writing from the campervan parked on top of cliffs in Devon watching the beautiful ocean! It is good to be back in the van!

You may already know that me and my partner Harry have been out of the UK for 4 months, snowboarding in Japan and then exploring the beautiful island of Koh Phangan in Thailand. We had the big surprise whilst away that I am pregnant!
We arrived back to the UK a couple of weeks ago so have been getting settled in to life back home. Harry has been making preparations to take my art studio to the next level (woohoo I am excited and will post update pics when I have them!).
I have started work on a new series of original abstract floral artworks called “The Energy In Nature” inspired by my time in Thailand. Think energetic brushstrokes and vibrant colours...
Whilst in Koh Phangan I was mesmerised by the bright vibrant colours, the interesting shaped leaves and the sounds and hum of nature all around. It made me feel inspired and excited by life.
We hope to spend at least several months here on the island with our new baby next year!
Another fun update is I have been adding beautiful photos Harry took in Thailand to my Etsy store. I find it really fun that I have been painting aerial perspectives of the ocean for years and Harry has been photographing the ocean from the sky for years ... now we can come together and collaborate! Sharing our stories of adventures around the world through artwork and photography creations.
The photo above shows a kitesurfer enjoying the crystal clear teal ocean in Thailand. It makes a beautiful piece of wall art for a classy beachy interior. If you would like to check it out you can head to my Etsy store by clicking HERE.
Anyway, that is all for now ... you can sign up to my mailing list if you would like to hear about the upcoming new series of artworks!
Much Love, Natalie

So I got loose with my paintbrush! It was so fun. I wasn’t thinking, planning or trying for it to look “good”. I was in the flow. I was splashing paint all over the place. Dancing around like an idiot. Doing all sorts of random brush strokes.
It was only when I stepped back from my “background that would be painted over” that I realised I loved it. It had a certain aliveness and energy to it!
I currently have the piece hanging at my airbnb property and I have to say, it makes me feel happy every time I see it.
I am really enjoying creating artwork inspired by the abundance of green and colour in foliage and plants. I think this might be a new thing for me!
I have put the artwork on my website and it is ready for a new home. The price is £750 and the artwork is 120cmx120cm. International shipping is available just ask me for a quote! Click Here To View The Artwork.
]]>The brief for the competition was to imagine a future where nature is put at the heart of our decisions and was based on the film from David Attenborough "A Life On Our Planet".
When I saw the brief my jaw hit the floor.
I had already been starting a project I had called A Future We Love and was around the idea of using my art and imagination to focus on how beautiful our future could be if we make changes now.
So when I saw the competition, it felt like it was made for me and I had this intuitive feeling I had already won.
The piece I entered is called The Golden Road To Renewal. It is inspired by an aerial view looking down on a part of the earth that is beginning to renew and come back to life. The bottom left corner shows a golden bridge over barren land, and then over the bridge is green and abundance growing back. It was quite a journey painting this and I never knew it would turn out like this.
This artwork will be exhibited around the UK with the 11 other winning artworks with the aim to start conversations in communities.
In the mean time there is a virtual gallery where you can view the winning artworks here: https://www.wwf.org.uk/just-imagine
Excited to see how this unfolds!
